Our Briefcase Weekender is the perfect work and travel companion. Crafted from full grain American vegetable tanned leather from renowned Wickett and Craig tannery in Pennsylvania, and handcrafted in East Tennessee, this exceptional bag is built to last. You’ll enjoy the abundant storage, with large interior side pockets for your electronics, and additional pockets for cell phones, pens, and keys. Then quickly switch from rope handles to an adjustable and removable 50-inch cross body strap with a shoulder pad for easy carry. 

Made to order and available in twenty-one (21) colors, all of which are full grain vegetable tanned leather, fully lined with premium suede.

LEATHER:
We use premium full grain vegetable tanned leather hides from Wickett and Craig in Pennsylvania.

The hides are a by-product of the meat industry. The hides are graded typically from a #1 to a #3. The better cow hides come from North American Jumbo Steers. We use #1 (best) hides.

Full grain means the outer most part of the hide, which is the strongest part of the hide.

Vegetable tanned means the hides are turned into leather by using plant materials with naturally occurring tannins.

Most hides that become leather that are in use today are tanned with chemicals (hexavalent-chromium-4 usually). A "chrome" tanned hide typically completes the tanning process in 24 hours.

Vegetable tanning uses plant tannins and is organic. Takes on average 14 days to turn a hide into leather. The slower process binds most closely with the fibers in the hides, which produces stronger, more durable and more attractive leather.

OTHER MATERIALS:
We source the best available materials for the other components used in constructing each item. For example, we use Vinymo thread , which is stronger and more durable than other leather sewing's thread.

Hardware that is uses also is sourced from the best available.

We build each item to the order. This allows us to include more options without increasing cost and provides the customer with several customization options. Current lead time from order placement is 3 to 4 weeks.

High quality leather may require periodic maintenance. As the leather may become dry or dirty in normal use. We recommend a high-quality leather balm to clean and condition. There are many available to choose from. We use and recommend Smith's Leather Balm which you can find in the accessories collection on our site. Smith's Leather Balm is natural and only made from organic cocoa butter, organic beeswax and 100% Pure Sweet Almond Oil. We do not stock but do use Feibing's saddle soap for cleaning.
